Ashneer Grover asks Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath to take a break after the stroke

After Kamath's disclosure of his mild stroke, a debate regarding work-life balance is spreaded across social media - recalling the 72 hours per week work culture statement made by Infosys founder Narayan Murthy a few months back.

Zerodha co-founder and CEO Nithin Kamath lately revealed that he had been hit by a mild stroke six weeks back.

Speaking of the possible reasons for the stroke, Kamath in a tweet said,

“Around 6 weeks ago, I had a mild stroke out of the blue. Dad passing away, poor sleep, exhaustion, dehydration, and overworking out —any of these could be possible reasons.”

“I’ve gone from having a big droop in the face and not being able to read or write to having a slight droop but being able to read and write more. From being absent-minded to more present-minded. So, 3 to 6 months for full recovery.”

“I wondered why a person who’s fit and takes care of himself could be affected. The doctor said you need to know when you need to shift the gears down a bit.”

Slightly broken, but still getting my treadmill count.

Commenting on Kamath’s tweet, Ashneer Grover, former co-founder of BharatPe, said,

“Dude – take care. Most likely you are deeply affected because of passing away of your dad – it got me too after my dad’s demise – I simply collapsed one day. Take a break !”

Besides this, many shared health advices for Kamath.

Voicing his concern over such advices, Dr. CS Pramesh, Director at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai has advised Nithin Kamath to avoid medical advices provided by random people without any background in science.

Similarly, Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, Kauvery Hospital, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, commenting on an old tweet of Nithin Kamath, said
